I make mixed media sculpture using themes drawn from my life, and on life in general. I frequently build an image using wood -my most familiar material - but integrate a wide mixture of other media as support. Working metaphorically, I choose materials to "stand for" aspects of the message I am trying to communicate, playing with them and treating one material as if it were another,  transforming them to fulfil my purpose.
